WiHTL is a Collaboration Community devoted to increasing Diversity and Inclusion across Hospitality, Travel and Leisure
Our mission is to support companies across the Hospitality, Travel and Leisure industry to create diverse and inclusive environments and to positively impact 5 million employees globally by 2025
What We Do
ADVOCATE, INSPIRE, RAISE AWARENESS
We conduct research and provide diversity and inclusion content that is relevant and inspiring
SHARE & LEARN FROM EACH OTHER
We nurture collaboration and sharing across the industry, creating multiple opportunities to interact and identify best practices that work in the HTL sector
CO-CREATE SOLUTIONS
We support companies and executives in building a diverse talent pipeline through cross-industry leadership development programmes
WiHTL Brand Evolution
Whilst gender remains a core pillar of our work at WiHTL, in the last 2 years we have expanded our remit to not only also cover race and ethnicity but to also raise awareness of the challenges faced by other underrepresented groups and mobilise meaningful action when it comes to creating truly inclusive workplaces across the hospitality, travel and leisure industry.
We are incredibly proud to launch our newly refreshed WiHTL brand with an animation video that we have produced to show our journey and what we stand for.
Our Community now positively impacts over 3,700,000 employees across our industry worldwide. Our Community members helped shape our refreshed mission, scope of activities and what our brand stands for. While when we started the W in WiHTL stood for Women, it now stands for even more:
W for We are WiHTL
W for Working Together
W for World
W for Welcome to All in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure
And more!
We hope you like the new video and what we stand for. Don't forget to let us know your thoughts!
Welcome to WiHTL!
Our Collaboration Community has reached over 3.7 Million Employees
Be a part of our ever growing community of companies and individuals committing to creating more diverse and inclusive workplaces.
We believe that no single company can make progress with the inclusion agenda on its own. Through collaboration we are able to have a greater impact on progressing D, E&I in HTL and in society as a whole.

Ethnic Future Leaders Programme: Cohort 2 Graduation
The second cohort of the Ethnic Future Leaders Programme has recently graduated in a fantastic online event. The 6-month programme was conceived by the members of our Race & Ethnicity Committee and is a phenomenal example of our community coming together. The video (above) encapsulates key learning and highlights from the course as described by the delegates and gives true insight into the impact the programme has made on the lives of those who took part. Each delegate also featured in a Yearbook curating memorable moments from the programme.
Dates for nominations for the third cohort will be announced in due course. For more information on the EFL Programme.
Our special thanks go to McDonald's for partnering with us for this initiative.

The Festival of Inclusion in Hospitality, Travel & Leisure
The Festival of Inclusion will take place 12-13 October 2022. Last year's event saw over 1,200 attendees, 22 sessions, and 75 Speakers convene for 2 days of learning and sharing of best practices in diversity, equity and inclusion within the hospitality, travel and leisure sectors.
Among other well known names, WiHTL had great pleasure in welcoming June Sarpong, TV Presenter, Diversity Expert & Award-winning Author, to open the Festival alongside Paul Pomroy, CEO McDonald's (UK&I) and WiHTL Founder & Chair, Tea Colaianni.
A compelling presentation from world-renown keynote speaker, René Carayol MBE, defined the importance of racial equality and how to respect and value difference: “our strength is our difference, our difference is our strength”.
